The City of Etowah is looking for the right person to be its next finance director.  The City Manager is seeking an individual who is a people person, is clear, concise, who enjoys managing and directing, is a self-starter who finishes what he/she starts, and who has the knowledge, skills and abilities to manage the city’s accounting functions including payables, receivables, liabilities, assets, etc.  Position requires a CMFO certification or two (2) year verifiable background in Local Government Finance Software. The annual budget is $3.6 million and the city employees include 40 FT and 20 PT employees. All candidates must be able to pass a physical, drug test and a thorough background check.
